Air conditioner refrigerant refill in Chișinău
Technician labour 350 lei, R32 refrigerant 200 lei per 100 g, charged by weight. First we find where the refrigerant went: a healthy air conditioner does not use it up, and without fixing the leak a refill will escape again.
What we do

Does an air conditioner need a refill every year?
No. Refrigerant circulates in a sealed circuit and is not used up like fuel in a car. If there is less of it, there is a leak somewhere: a loose joint, a damaged pipe or heat exchanger.
Topping up without finding the leak means paying for refrigerant that will escape again in weeks or months. Meanwhile the compressor runs overloaded, and replacing it costs thousands of lei. So we start with a check. If we find a leak, we tell you what is broken and what the repair costs, and then refill a working unit.
Maybe it is not the refrigerant?
Most often weak cooling comes from dirt, not from low refrigerant: clogged filters, indoor evaporator and outdoor heat exchanger. If the unit has not been cleaned for over a year, start with cleaning for 1 000 lei. It is cheaper and often solves the problem.

A refill with labour and refrigerant usually comes to 750–2 000 lei, depending on how much refrigerant was lost and the unit size. Example: adding 300 g of R32 is 350 lei labour plus 600 lei refrigerant, 950 lei in total. A 9–12k BTU wall unit usually holds 0.6–1 kg if the circuit is empty. The exact mass is on the outdoor unit nameplate. All prices in lei, VAT included.
How does a refill work and how long does it take?
Usually 40–60 minutes. The technician connects gauges, checks pressure in operation and inspects joints and valves. A leak at a joint is fixed in the same visit. If the circuit is empty or was opened, it is vacuumed first: this removes air and moisture that would otherwise quickly damage the compressor.
