What determines the cost of air conditioner installation
Planning a budget for buying and installing climate control equipment requires an understanding of how the total amount is formed. In Chisinau, the cost of installation consists of the base fee for the specialists' work and the cost of consumables, the volume of which depends on the room parameters.
The base rate includes the specialists' work on carrying in the equipment, drilling the hole, mounting the units, and laying the pipework (line set). At the same time, consumables, including copper pipes, insulation, and brackets, are paid for separately based on actual consumption.
Base rates for installation work in 2026

Additional materials and services
An important detail of the calculation is that the inter-unit pipework (line set) is not included in the base installation price and is charged per meter starting from the first meter. The base cost includes strictly the work of laying it.
Additional materials and related services include:
- Inter-unit pipework (line set): 400–650 lei per meter (calculated from the 1st meter).
- Brackets for the outdoor unit: 400–650 lei per pair.
- Wall chasing for the pipework (line set): 150–200 lei per meter.
- Decorative trunking for communications: 150–250 lei per meter.
The total length depends on the distance between the indoor unit and outdoor unit. The exact calculation is performed by a specialist during the survey.
Dismantling and out-of-town travel
When replacing old equipment, preliminary dismantling is required while preserving the refrigerant. This procedure is carried out using specialized equipment.
- Dismantling of the old split system: 600–1 000 lei.
- Out-of-town transport: 5 lei per kilometer.
Within Chisinau, the survey and delivery of equipment are free of charge.
